Privacy Policy
Alignment Drift · Version 2 · October 8, 2026
This policy explains what data the game Alignment Drift uses, both in Telegram (as a Mini App) and in a browser (alignment-drift.racoondev.com). For the game's bot, it replaces Telegram's Standard Bot Privacy Policy.
In short
- The game has no accounts. Your saved game stays on your device and, inside Telegram, in your Telegram account's cloud.
- Usage statistics are sent only if you say yes. They carry a random identifier, never your name or your account.
- Ads appear only when you ask for one.
- We never receive your name, username, phone number, contacts or messages.
Who is responsible
Racoon Technologies SL, tax ID (NIF) B42939090, is the data controller (full details in the legal notice). For any question or request about your data, write to contact@racoondev.com.
What stays on your device
The storage of the app or browser you play in keeps your saved game, a backup copy of it, your settings (including your language and your answers about statistics and ads) and a log of the game's last events, used only to diagnose problems on your device and never sent. If you allow statistics, it also keeps your random identifier and, while you are offline, the events waiting to be sent.
All of this is needed for the game to work, except the identifier, which exists only if you allow it. We never receive your saved game.
What Telegram gives the game
When you open the game, Telegram passes it some details of your account: your user ID, your name, your username, your language, whether you have Telegram Premium, your profile photo if you have one, and your color theme. Like any website, the game also receives your IP address when it loads.
The game uses only your language (to choose between English and Spanish), the version and platform of your Telegram app and, if you allow statistics, the code of the link that brought you. It does not store or send the rest. Telegram's code for Mini Apps is downloaded from telegram.org even when you play in a browser. Telegram handles your account under its own privacy policy.
Cloud save
So that you can get your game back on another device, the game keeps a copy in Telegram's cloud storage for this game, inside your account. It is uploaded every two minutes while you play and when you leave or minimize the game. When you open it, the game uses the most recent copy: the one on your device or the one in the cloud.
The copy contains your saved game and a short summary (model level, number of fusions and when the copy was made). We cannot see it or access it from outside the game. We use it to provide the game you asked for. Deleting your game in Settings › Delete save also deletes this copy.
Usage statistics: only with your permission
The first time you play, the game asks whether we may see how you play: during the introduction or, if you skip it, in a window. Nothing is sent until you answer: the events of that session wait in your device's memory and are discarded if you say no. If you say yes, the game sends:
- A random identifier created on your device when you agree. It is not your Telegram user ID and it is not linked to your name or your account. You can see it in Settings › Usage stats.
- What happens in your game: your progress (introduction and guide steps, models trained, choices, fusions), the ads you watch, when and how long you play, how smoothly the game runs, and errors with their technical message.
- Your device: operating system and version, browser or Telegram app version and platform, device type, screen size and density, memory, processor cores, network type and language.
- How you arrived: the address of the page or the code of the link that opened the game.
We use this to balance the game, see where players get stuck and fix errors and performance problems. The legal basis is your consent. The data is pseudonymous, not anonymous: we do not know who you are, but the identifier tells your device apart.
The data is stored by PostHog in its European Union region (Frankfurt) and reaches it through our own domain. PostHog receives your IP address with each request; it uses it only to estimate your country and does not store it.
You can withdraw your permission at any time in Settings › Usage stats. From then on nothing more is sent and the identifier is deleted from your device. Withdrawing does not affect what was sent before.
Ads
You only see rewarded ads, and only when you decide to watch one (for example, to finish a training sooner or to double your output for a while). The game never shows an ad you did not ask for, and ads are only available inside Telegram.
They are served by AdsGram Ltd, based in Seychelles, as an independent controller. To show and count them, it receives your Telegram user ID and username, your device type, browser and operating system, your IP address and visit data, and it may process them outside the European Union, in countries without a level of protection recognized by the EU. That is why its code is not loaded until you ask for your first ad, and that first time the game explains this and asks you to confirm. We only learn whether the ad finished, to give you the reward. More information in AdsGram's privacy policy.
Purchases
If the game offers items for Telegram Stars, the payment is handled by Telegram (and, when you buy Stars, by Apple, Google or Telegram's payment providers). We never see your card or payment details.
To deliver what you bought, we receive the order from Telegram: the item, its price in Stars, the payment reference and your Telegram user ID. We use them to deliver, support and, if needed, refund the purchase, and to send you a confirmation in the bot's chat. We do this to perform the purchase and to meet our legal obligations.
Who else processes the data
- PostHog, Inc., as our processor, stores and analyzes the usage statistics in the European Union (Frankfurt). It may be accessed from the US or the UK, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
- Netlify, Inc., as our processor, hosts the game, forwards the statistics to PostHog and keeps technical logs with IP addresses for a short time, in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
- Telegram, as an independent controller, keeps the cloud save and provides its code for Mini Apps, under its own privacy policy.
- AdsGram Ltd, as an independent controller, serves the ads you choose to watch, in Seychelles and other countries, with your explicit consent.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
How long it is kept
- Usage statistics: one year, which is how long PostHog keeps them. Aggregated reports, which do not identify anyone, may be kept longer.
- What is on your device: until you delete your game or the app's or browser's data.
- The cloud save: until you delete your game in Settings.
- Purchase records: 6 years, as Spanish commercial law requires.
- Support emails: for as long as it takes to help you, and one more year.
Your rights
- Withdraw your permission for statistics: Settings › Usage stats.
- Delete your saved game, here and in the cloud: Settings › Delete save.
- Access, rectify or erase your data, restrict or object to its processing and ask for its portability: write to contact@racoondev.com. For statistics, include the identifier shown in Settings; without it we cannot tell which data is yours. We answer within one month.
- File a complaint with a data protection authority. In Spain, that is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (www.aepd.es).
We do not make automated decisions about you.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. In Spain, only people aged 14 or over can allow statistics on their own: if you are younger, do not turn them on without permission from a parent or guardian. If we learn that we hold data from a child under 14 without that permission, we delete it.
Security
Data travels encrypted (HTTPS), and we only collect what this policy describes.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a significant way, its version number goes up and the game asks again those who had allowed statistics.
